Hey all my stock WGA died and im getting no boost/vac leak from it. My warranty is denying the claim cause someone forgot to check a box, and 750$ factory is way to steep.

My question to you all is will the ATP WGA be safe with the extra 1-2psi.
Car is bone stock aside from forged internals and a PNP head.

it should be fine

i'm running an atp wastegate and boosting 9 PSI, 10 when it's cold. but my mods also increase boost (Perrin FMIC, Injen CAI, Exhaust)

stock should keep it at about 7 PSI

$750?! .. Good God.

But yeah, you'll be fine. Pick up the 6psi one and you won't have any problems. Just look on the ATP website (www.atpturbo.com) under 'Vehicle Specific'.

Thank you all so much!! I feel pretty confadent in the ATP now. I got to go pick up the car from the dealer and fork out 113$ for diag fees :\ I already knew what was wrong but had to take it to them for the warranty and then those SOBs denied it :(

Oh man the dealer tricks again, what does the original work order state as a fee? If it was an hr or hr and a half that you approved then you knew when you walked in there would be a fee, since it was warranty work it should have been free. Unless they made you approve the work prior to inspecting it. I never let the dealer work on my car now. Yes I have issues with them...

Ok so one more question in the meantime while im waiting for this to come in the mail.

Is it ok for me to drive the car with the WGA vac line tied off (to keep the car from having wierd stalling issues) and keep the vehicle under 3krpms?

Yeah you should be ok, I had the same issues as you a while back. I drove it like that and it would idle like it wanted to stall. A friend at the turbo shop replaced the actuator for me with another used one but that one tore eventually too. He did it just to be sure that was the problem, it worked for a while.
