As the dust settles...

Now that my car is officially a total loss, I find myself looking for something new. My first choice is to get another MSP but fairly extensive internet and phone searches have left me quite empty-handed and pretty frustrated.

I could go on about my likes and dislikes of similar cars like the Spec V and the SRT-4 but the bottom line is that none of them measure up to the MSP.

As MSP lovers and drivers, I have to ask you this. Would purchasing a Mazda 3 leave me feeling like I want more? It seems like a pretty good package for the money and I really can't find anything that looks better (on paper). My needs are a 4-door vehicle that is good on gas and can be bought for less than 20K.

Any and all input is appreciated.

nah man, the mazda 3 5door is a killer automobile, and the aftermarket is just starting to pick up. It was almost a coin toss for me between that and my MSP.

Not alabama, Louisana. I've been on the phone with them the last 2 days and the one left was being negotiated for sale. Too bad they weren't negotiating with me. The sales person I spoke to said he would call me back but I'm not holding my breath.

There is a new black mica down the street from me, a new yellow across town and there was a sunlight silver too. They are available. I had a 3 as a rental car, and it drove like a rental car. I was glad to have my MSP back, even despite the problems with it.

a friend of mine has the 3 with the 2.3l engine. it drives ok, but nothing like what i'm used to with my car. it's a nice vehicle if you can't find anything else, it handles ok, but there's no way i'd choose it over my msp.
