I also bought a Toyota factory accessory iA armrest when I purchased the car in 2018. This year, 5 years later, it simply broke off. If this happens to you simply buy this. It cost $4, follow directions, and let it cure. NOTE- I would set a heavy book on top of the glued section to hold it down. P.S. I was going to take it all out, buy one that set into the original cup/tray ($49.88 off Amazon) but when I saw how much had to be done to get it out and how sturdy the armrest base actually is (I mean it is heavy duty steel which I am glad the dealership did it!!!) I decided to go this route. The only fault is the plastic between the base and the armrest itself. Good Luck! Michael
