That wasn't so much directed at you, just kind of a general statement. Seems like the trends today are to make your car look and sound like it is turbo'd but without actually having any speed.

from a vendor on here i was advised to go with k&n... apparently there isnt much proven info on the WR intakes and filters...

FYI: even though there are two filters, the itake will not suck any more air than a conventional one.

Yeah, the TB can only let in so much air...

OR... im doing the Apexi Power filter w/ 70mm flange ... it hooks on to the MAF.. and is (in many opinions) the best filter out there.

I just put in the Typhoon and can definitely feel some gains from 2nd to 3rd gear. I'm also driving the s*** out of it cause it sounds so damn smooth. If you buy it through Crutchfield I'll be your "refer a friend". I could use $20 bucks and you'll get $20 off as well. (poke)

i may have to do that....might take me a little time to save a few extra bucks, but i'll take you up on that offer

Just get the standard ebay CAI and a good filter. It's a piece of metal piping. All intakes are just pieces of metal piping, so why pay 2x as much or more for the same thing just because it says "Injen" or "weapon R" on the side?
