Are all Mazda shift knobs interchangeable?

for me it was useful in 2 ways.. i'm a lazy bastard,so a shorter way for every shift is nicy, and i don't touch the shifter/knob anymore with my right knee/thigh in 2nd gear 8)

You guys know the thread pitch on a B&M short shifter? Looking into getting a greddy counterweight. The stock 03.5 Protege5 shift knob fits on it.

is the thread pitch still M10 x P1.25?

If the stock knob fits, then it is M10 x 1.25 for sure. Most Mazdas we've seen are this pitch, except the MP3.

If you're looking for weighted knobs, be sure to check out our 3 new designs which fit all Mazdas:

Weighted Type R Shift Knobs

Weighted A6 Leopard Shift Knobs

Weighted M1 Abrams Shift Knobs

The advantage of a short shifter is a reduction in shifter travel between gears, meaning you waste less time shifting allowing you to shift faster. Here is a link to an interesting article which explains this in more detail: What is a short shifter.

Our shifter also replaces the stock nylon shifter bushings with industrial grade ball bearings and is guaranteed for life. More stats for the Protege shifter can be found here: Protege Short Shifter

I hope this helps,

Will this in any way void of tamper with the factory warranty on the car?
