Apparently anyone can get a license

I generally don't go out of my way to confront people......put this just really pissed me off.

I was on my way home for lunch today, just like any other day of the week. I was less than 1 mile from the house, when I signaled and moved into the center turn lane of a 4 lane road....when a semi headed in the opposite direction swerved into the turn lane and nearly hit me head on. Luckily there were no cars near me when I swerved to avoid the collision, it would've been an ugly wreck since the speedlimit in the area is 45mph. Needless to say I was so pissed that I wasn't even thinking straight. I spun around and proceeded to chase down the shithead that almost killed me, pulled in front of him and locked em' up. The next thing I know I'm out of the car (blocking traffic) and chewing this guy a new asshole. This bug-eyed idiot first tries to tell me that he's "sorry" and then attmepts to blame me for the whole incident by saying that I "pulled into the turn lane too early". WTF...I asked him how the hell did he know where I was going...there are approx. 4 driveways and 1 interesection within 40 yards of where he almost hit me. When he noticed that I was reading the indentification info on the side of the truck he decided to taunt me saying "go ahead write down the #". When I realized that I was standing in the other lane of traffic I got back in my car and went on home. I called the company and complained, although I'm not sure what good it will do. I'm still pissed about this and it happened almost 2 hours ago.
Just this past weekend an old lady in a Lincoln Towncar nearly sideswiped me after she decided that the lane change she just made wasn't really what she meant to do. I blasted her with the airhorns....her response was to shrug her shoulders with both hands in the air and continue on her oblivious journey.
I swear, sometimes I think there must be a bounty on my head or the Protege, as it seems that I'm constantly having to take evasive action to avoid one dipshit after another.
Anybody else have similar experiences. How do you react?

its a good thing our cars handle well :D

Well, My family was involved in a hit & run w/ a tractor trailer last night. :( Apparently my sister was driving my mom's Forester on the PA Turnpike and the tractor trailer was in the lane beside her. It's tail end swung out and hit the back end of the car, breaking the glass and putting some nice dents in the side. They got the car under control without hitting anyone else and the tractor trailer kept going. They were so rattled they didn't get the license and they called 911 to report it, but it looks the guy got off scot free at this point. My family fortunately is OK, but my mom is meeting w/ the adjustor today to find out what the damage is. :(

My best friend's stepmom had a tractor trailer slide over the top of her Escort years ago and my friend won't drive anywhere near them now. I can't say that I blame her. I haven't had anything that bad myself, but I've definitely had issues w/ them myself.
