Apexi Power filter w/ Injen piping

505Zoom, is there anything holding up the Injen tubing or filter? like a bracket or brace? or is it just basically being held by the clamps at the turbo?

I am running the MAM SRI now, but when I was running the injen as a SRI I did not have any sort of bracket holding it up. Worked fine without one because the filter basically rested on the fender area.

and you bought this from?
I was trying to buy it from ken but he seems to not have it or something

ohh ok, I wanted to buy it through protegegarage.com but looks like I'll buy it from apexi

do u know if the 70 mm flange will fit on the aem sri

I want to put an APEXi filter on my Injen CAI as a replacment filter. I looked at part #500-A027 UNIVERSAL FILTER AND 70MM FLANGE and thought this would be the one. But now after looking at these pics I wonder if it's actually 70mm OD or ID. If it fits in the silicone coupler it can't fit over the pipe can it? or is the flange soft enough?

Yes, 500-A027 is the proper one to fit on the injen pipe. I will be selling my used one here in the next week or two if you are interested in holding out for it. I am building a new 3" intake pipe for my car and will be upgrading to the 500-A025 kit.

Will post up pics and all that jazz before selling of course.

Here is a pic of 500-A027 on the maf/injen:

So it's a metal flange? I use the full CAI, will I need a coupler or will the pipe fit inside the flange? It looks kinda dirty how old/ $$?

Yes it is a hard metal flange, so you will need a straight 2.5" coupler to put it on the pipe. They are a life-time filter, very easy to clean. Not sure what I will put it up for, probably 50 bucks or so.
