apexi muffler sound

:
Mazdaspeed Protege 03
A lot of people say that the apexi n1 muffler sounds way too ricey but when I checked on the exhaust sounds thread it sounded pretty good. I heard an apexi on a prelude and it sounded super rice. Can anyone give opinions on the sound of this muffler on the msp?

i have it with the apex downpipe and no cat or resonator.
i mean it is loud but the turbo helps muffle the sound.i like the sound not too loud and a few backfires here and there,

where in burbank do u live ? i live in glendale on pacific... i would love to hear the apexi muffler on a mazdaspeed

Apexi on a non turbo car sounds like ass and a half.

My friend has an Apexi cat-back on his 01 Prelude. It sounded good with the resonator and then we wanted to hear what it sounded like without it.
OMG, super loud and buzzy. I think it sounds pretty good at WOT though.

hope you checked out the exhaust thread :). like everyone else said, on NA cars without resonators, the apexi sounds like crap. but for turbo cars, it doesn't sound too bad. it sounds a little airy to me on the video, but that just may be the camera.

I dont really like the sound of the apexi muffler on the msp. I heard it in person and it just sounds loud and annoying to me

I've got the apexi N1 on my N/A lx.. got 3" piping... mistake, should've went with 2.5" but oh well too late now. before header was on, sounded loud, but nice, now that header is on.. jesus christ sounds like there's a piece of paper in the muffler when it redlines. I think it sounds much much nicer with the silencer.

loud mine is loud but i like it. the turbo suck combined with the exaust makes a nice sound ricey but beautiful at high rpm. and mine is 3" with no cat
