The A’PEXi SMART Accel Controller offers instant and direct throttle response for vehicles equipped with Electronic Throttle Conrol (ETC) Systems. Throttle response that is delayed from ETC or better known as Drive-by-wire throttle is greatly improved with this simple unit and a vehicle specific plug and play harness installation which is connected between the factory accelerator pedal sensor and wiring harness within a few minutes.

says its compatible with the mazda2 2011 1.5

The DBW isn't that bad in the Mazda2. It seems better with the Traction control off, be it real or not. It's not like we're talking about a car that's going to do much noteworthy when the throttle is completely depressed anyway.

Well its a bit hard to compare the with and without unless you have driven the car with a 1:1 throttle ratio. In truth, the DBW on all of the cars from 2006 on is very bad(thank you federal government!), but the latest Mazda2 is really very very bad when you look at the mapping
I guess bad is a relative term. The 2007 Civic Si I had was the WORST dbw car I've ever driven. It made the car feel like an automatic. My 08 Mustang GT had pretty bad dbw until I did an aftermarket tune on it.

So with that in mind, the 2 is reasonable to me. There's definitely a delay and it makes the throttle feel like it swells into the power, but it could be worse.

I'm waiting for someone to offer a flashable handheld tuner like an SCT or a Diablosport with different octane tunes and whatnot.
