AP Stage 2 feels sluggish

I'm relatively new to modding. Finally purchased an AP and flashed my car to Stage 2+SF a couple days ago (mods are: cobb intake and SU test pipe, along with some other suspension upgrades). For the first 50 miles or so, I drove pretty slow and conservative and the car just felt overall more sluggish. After the initial 50 miles, I decided to get on the throttle more and while it pulled hard, the car doesn't really feel as responsive like before I flashed it to Stage 2+SF. I recently purchased one-step colder plugs and they should be arriving in two days. And I know Cobb recommended/required these plugs. Do you guys think the stock spark plugs are the main culprit behind the "sluggishness"? Or do you think there's another reason?

In the meantime, I've flashed the car back to the stock map and it feels alive again in daily driving.

Travis did say to "try" Stage 2 with only a test pipe but seem like not working for you. Might have better luck with Stage 1.

the reasoning has alwas been there to try to run stage 2 for people with intake-testpipe...But it sure didnt work for me at all..and for most people it doesnt..you really need to free up the downpipe section of the exhaust to benefit from the stage 2 map. There are exceptions to this..but thats the general rule. And yes! get those 1 step colder plugs on..Cobb says its required when running the Cobb AP..and suggested gap is .026 btw. Good look and run some datalogs! :) Your cars health depends on it.

It could very well be that you are just used to a car with more lag and power coming on later in the RPM band. Our tunes tend to broaden out the power band a bit a remove some of the "peakyness" to the car. That said, some logs will let us know if there is an underlying issue.
