Anything I should know before attempting head gasket swap 03 Mazda Protege

I already know it's the head gasket. I've never worked on a P5 other than standard fluid changes, brakes, etc... so is there anything that tends to be troublesome on this model or that I should know before attempting it? Thank you.

Check the VICS and VTCS butterflies while the intake is off, make sure the screws are tight, delete if you choose.

Good one, might wanna replace your waterpump and timing stuff too while you have it all apart. Clean egr too.
