Anyone's SiriusXM cutting in and out?

As stated. Since I've purchased the car back in May, I'll go by certain buildings, no higher than an average 2-story house, and my XM will cut out. Then yesterday I got a "no Signal" for about a mile while driving down a main street-type road. I changed stations to FM with no issue. Went back to XM and there was still no signal, then a few later it came back on normal. Now it works with the normal cut-out described earlier. None of my other cars, past or present, do this. Almost like the antenna is bad or has a bad connection, but my FM works just fine. Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing XM issues? Trying to figure out if it's my car, or the Sun's activity messing with the signal.

That's what I think. Sometimes I get a number of stations but some stations not at all.

I've had the SiriusXM in two Mazdas. During much of the year, certain country roads where I live have a dense canopy of leafy overhanging tree branches. On those roads during those parts of the year where the canopy is most dense, I'd frequently have areas where SiriusXM would "cut out", generally restarting once the canopy thinned. On both vehicles. (Don't have the service anymore.)

Recently, the news has been full of remarks on the latest sun spot/CME activity, and how it might well fool with communications, navigation and the like. Wouldn't surprise me if this past couple of weeks that SiriusXM and other sat-based systems have been having glitches here and there.

Might be worth a call to SiriusXM customer service. I'm sure they've got some validation/calibration equipment (or at least access to the reports of such equipment), as to whether there's recent spotty service or reports of spotty reception.

I may have to do just that. The area I am having issue in is treeless, definitely not enough to block a signal. So far, the last two days have been ok, with no dropping. So you know whts gonna happen if I took it to a dealer...

Well, I understand that and all, but as I stated earlier, I haven't had this issue in any other vehicle I've owned. I traded my '21 Tucson for this and had an Elantra limited before that. Never an issue with either.. Wifes Kina seems to be doing ok, with an occasional drop here in the last couple of weeks. Mine was just quite a bit more often, and longer. That's why I was wondering if it was just me and mine, or if it an external influence.

S/XM has 5 satellites in orbit, 2 that cover US and Canada. Not sure if the one of the 2 also covers S. America. That's not a lot of satellites for the area. I'm sure the broadcast signals are pointed towards large metro areas. I read somewhere where S/XM was adding broadcast antennaes to large bldgs. in the burbs but haven't seen anything else on it. That would help.
