anyone with the injen intake

I have a question for anyone who's using the injen intake. Has your coolant overflow resivor just fallen off of the bracket they gave you to reloacte it. I was driving lastnight over to a freinds house and though I ran over a rock or something, turned out to be the overflow bottle. Looks like the tab thats used to bolt the bottle to the relocation bracket just snaped. Anyone got any ideas on how not to have this happen, cause I'm sure if it happend once it will happen again.

when i put in my injen, i didn't use that bracket. i drilled into the factory bracket, and turned it aound, to mount the overflow that way...dunno, but maybe that will fix it for ya.

what bracket?

I didn't use any bracket supplied, I didn't even see one...anyway, all I did was use the old bracket and spin it around after bending up the tab that was turned down...screwed it back in using the existing holes...
I'll post a pic for you later today or tomorrow.
seems to work fine...only thing to make sure of is to zip tie the tube out of the way of the fan in front...made that mistake, luckily realized it after a minute or two...

The bracket is just a thin metal turn down that relocates the bottle up to the left upper radiator mount. The bracket didnt break but the resivour did. I tried to use the stock mount but from what I remember about installing the kit I would've had to redrill and tap the mounting holes in the fender not on the factory bracket. Any pics you could post would be much appreicated, I guess it'll be a fifty dollar lesson this time.

I know the "bracket" you speak of...but it wasn't ment to solely support the reservior tank...but rather stabalize the top.....YES the instructions that come with the INJEN suck....I have one, but I found the instrucitons located HERE to be a lot better....they explain a few things a lot better..

OMG I hope you didn't listen to the Injen instructions and remove your entire front bumber to do the install!! how stupid!!

anyway.....here is an exerpt from the instructions there about the coolant tank "They show you how to relocate your overflow resevoir by drilling but you dont need to do this. After you take off the stock intake, there will be a bolt hole right next to where the resevoir bracket comes off, just move it to that hole & youll have plenty of room (youll have to work with the angle & which way it turns to get it perfect but it only takes a minute)."

I too used the STOCK mount....I did NOT have to drill any holes...the only thing I did differently was I didn't hang it out where the picture showed but rather turned it around so it was closer to the headlight....if you put it on one way it can slip right off from a good bump....if you put it on the RIGHT way...the tank CLICKS back into a detent on the barcket and is held in place nice and snug.

just an add on to Sir Nuke's post, once you have the resevior in place, there's a little handle type of thing on the top...Just to make sure that I wouldn't have the res fall through the engine bay and out the bottom of the car (should any thing ever happen, hopefully not) I just ziptied the handle through a little hole in the headlight/front area...just a little thing that could help a ton.:D
I'm gonna snap a pic and post it after work.
