Anyone using LED H11 fog bulbs?

do the fog light mod, and you can run them independant of the headlights, and still have control to run just the fogs for DRL's.

The H11 LED does not have as much forward facing LED but the side ones should reflect well of the fog light housing. But why even use LEDs? Why not just stick with the old bulbs since both allow others to see you but not vice versa?

The link in my first post has one 3w forward facing LED. The main reason for LED is that I won't ever have to change them again, they will be ON any time the car is ON day or night, and they're different. DRL's on most vehicles are high beams running at reduced power and therefore the light source is viewed directly as well.

I'm the one who did the 'How-To' on the fogs as DRL's...

I guess I'll be the first to run the 3w design. Now just need to know how to remove the metal piece...?

basically bend the piece back and forth to fatigue the metal until it snaps off...then you will need some sort of pliers to bend/break apart the cap so it will squeeze through the bulb opening....there may be a easier method out there but that is how I did mine and how I have read others did it....its a pain

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll probably hold off until the stock bulbs crap out, but keep all this in mind.
