Anyone using a GROM audio device?

Installed mine about a month ago and have experienced a problem. I have it hooked to my ipod and stock stereo. On a frequent basis my ipod will stop playing the current song and gives me a message of ' OK to disconnect ' and then it's almost impossible to get it to do anything else.
Anyone have this problem? Feedback?

ive had mine for well over a year know i think. you can do a search on here for it.

are you on track 1 and using your ipod to change the song?

its works best with play lists. i made a few awesome playlists and rock it all night long

When I had one on my P5 it would randomly do this and refuse to work for a while. Your best bet is to never touch the headunit. Just control everything from the iPod.

i know this is months later but would you guys suggest the auxillary unit or ipod connector unit? i have an iphone but i think it will still work with my phone and the ipod connector

i dont have one but if you plan to use an ipod you may as well get the ipod version because it will charge as well as play

I have it and like it. Needed to update the firmware to get it to stay recognized by the factory unit but it works perfectly. I did have issues at first install but they have since been resolved.

I have had mine for looks to be exactly a day over two years and have no complaints. works perfect, no problems with the head unit control either. highly recommended.

I hate threads like this...a few say it works great, a few say they have problems!

Looking to get one of these for my 6. I don't have an iPod or anything...all my music is categorized into 7 USB flashdrives, so I just need a USB port. Probably gonna give it a shot, it's only $90.

I'm on my second Grom iPod unit. It will work awesome and either nothing will happen when you hit CD... Or, newest, it will say NO DISC... I'm beginning to think its my radio. I almost wish I had just bought a head unit with aux.. Nothing but a pain!

I can't even use the Grom now! For some reason, the radio's in '04 6's are different, and I'd need to pop it open and do some kind of funky soldering or jumping inside the radio to get the Grom to work. PASS!!!!!

Grom sent me a new unit, and it's hit or miss. Sometimes it won't recognize CD, sometimes the radio was on when I shut off the car, and it's off when I recrank it. I believe it's my head unit. I want to just put in a nice head unit, and good speakers and be done with this. I wish I could find a new head unit that would charge the phone!!!
