Anyone turn down a street race???

I was just wondering if anyone has ever turned down a street race before? I was taking my girl home after the Brian McKnight and Mya concert (which was off the hook) and a Accord with exhausts on both sides of his car (WTF?) blew past me at 50 and slowed down to get side by side with me. I had to turn off 1/4 mile down the road, but that was the first time someone has ever wanted to race me. Didn't want to race because of my girl and I'm not really down for street racing bulls***, I mean, I'd rather take to the track, but needless to say....I felt like a big wuss.

Yeah...I didn't think I could lose though. The Accord was making a hell of alot of noise, so I'd figured it had more bark than bite.

I have turned down races all the time, I am afraid of the police lurking around every corner. I have raced though, a 5.0 mustang- I thought those were supposed to be fast, guess not, AND my car is stock. What I do now is just go to the local drag strip so that It is legal to race, and you dont have to worry about cops. hell, sometimes they race against you.

Yeah, not many though. But I just haven't street raced much either. Accords with duals can mean V6, or just dual exhaust on the 4 cyl. Track is a better place to race anyway.

krazymonkey1, 5.0's can be fast, but they're gettin old and worn out, people can't drive, and on a roll stock for stock I'd think the MSP would take it. I beat modded 5.0 stangs with my crown vic all the time, heck I raced one with my stock Civic DX and beat him!

I do a lot. I don't street race at all. Funny thing is that they only challenge me when it is obvious that my baby is in the back seat. ******* retards.

Actually your more of a man for thinking of your girls safety. Not saying your a crappy driver but you never know who's in the other car and there driving experience. Street racing sucks and kill people all the time. I have people challenge me all the even though you can see my daughters car seat in the back.

I always turn down races. It always some punk ass youngsters trying to race too. I think it makes them look stupid when they fly by and then slow down next to you. Most of the time they do it when they have friends with them in the car. The funny part is when you get some cats with chrome wheels and altezzas trying to race.

True that....the guy in the Accord had a passenger...and I would never race anyone if there was someone in my passenger seat, baby or whoever.

**** that, ive never turned down a race, ill always race but if something happens than i wont finish the race. lol i was in a tahoe and i raced a ****** lexus, i lost but that was okay. I agree with not racing with anyone in your car though, and making sure its safe, cuz the last thing you want to do is kill someone.

I turn down every one. I hate dipshits that try to race me on the street. If they rev, I'll rev back and make them look like a dumbass as they speed away from the light while I leisurly take my time.

i only race if im by myself, or sometimes with my brother as only passenger, ALSO i only race if theres no other cars around, either in front of you or behind you, id rather just goto the track and go all out and not worry about it, just laugh when someone wants to race you, it pisses em off, kcbhiw - i did that one time and there was a cop right around the corner from the light and the kid in a prelude got pulled over it was awesome! got him for a false start or speeding cuz he did a burnout, not sure which but thats my guess

never race. my sister died @ 24 when her coz thought it be cool to race a co-worker. needless to say the "loss" was bad!
