Anyone thinking of water/alcohol injection?

I notice you have what looks like either an eclipse or a saab intercooler. Have you looked at the starion intercoolers. They are larger than the one you have. They are always on ebay for about $150 to $200. That's what I'm using. But the water injection is a good idea also. Just make sure you always check the water level. If the pump runs dry and still tries to pump, after a while it can cause damage to the pump. You can get a washer fluid low sensor from anycar at a junkyard, then mount it and wire some kind of light that lights up when it's low. I think I'm going to do that and mount everything in the glove compartment on a carbon fiber back plate. I'll figure something out.

Both the turbo and the IC where of an Jspec 2nd gen Eclipse. I could barly fit the IC in the spot I have it. The Mazdaspeed front bumber doesnt allow enough room for a front mount IC with out cutting it all up. If I can find a 7" dia. puller fan I'll be good to go with the IC mounted where I have it now. Given the resent high temp here you can put your hand on the IC and its only warm to the touch, but with a puller fan the intake air temp would be evn colder and then in race condtions with the water injection look out.

Yep, I totally agree. That's why I stopped going to that website. I wont give up names or anything though. Most people know the site we are talking about. Welcome to our site, where the ridiculing is kept to a minimum.

Thanks

Thanks guys,
I do like your forum a lot better. Way more useful info and advice given here than at the other Protg forums or web sites.
Again Thanks:D

NOTE: Went to the Nation Grand Prix this Sunday and got to meet Roger Foo and his crew while working on the Foo's car and Espenlaub, then I meet Shauna Marinus and all the guys at Tri-point they where all great very, very helpful took the time to answer any question I had. They even let me climb all over the cars, and crawl under them checking them out. The D.C. Speed World Challenge Touring car race was a rcokum sockum knockout of a race. Foo, Fowler, Bradley and Bonaccorsi where running crash test while Marinus 8th, Espenlaub 11th, Chuck Hemmingson 5th where putting to them other guys.
