Anyone swap the headunit?

Looking to buy a Mazda 6 Touring and anyways I got to do a 24hr test drive with it. Love the car but dang the headunit is really bad, and dated feeling. I see there is a petition for almost a year now to have Mazda fix things but seems doubtful. Anyways has anyone replaced it, and with what? What functionality did you lose in the process? Also can you post pics. Thanks guys!

I have heard from my service manager that an update is due in May for the problems, I also have heard others saying similar. So we are hopefull they will fix it. See other post here called "Update on Update."
