anyone seen 09 rx8 r3 19" rims

ive seen them, but not in that gunmetal color, it was in silver

didnt look that great too me, they look better in the pic then in person

I'm waiting to see someone get these and put them on their car.

My local dealer has a black R3 which looks amazing in their showroom.

If someone gets me a part #, I can get some pricing for them (not MSRP)

yeah, those are pretty damn nice. i think they would look good on my car.

Right. R3 version has 19" while others have 18" wheels. Good luck getting a set of those rims for a fair deal anytime soon. I believe they are 19x8.

Yeah, I know. If I can get a part # then I can see how nasty the MSRP is gonna be. I'd imagine $500/wheel.

the silver ones are are not R3 they are the 18"
talked to one dealer and he told me $2400 ea
god i hope not

and the R3 version i was told is going to be a 3 rotor motor with 300Hp

Wow, someone gave you one of the biggest lines I've ever heard. Those 18's shouldn't be more than $500 each from the dealer, and the R3 wheels should be about $750 (if they run about the same as the MS-01S's do...Mazdaspeed RX-8 wheels).

As for the R3 package for the RX-8, here's the listing from MUSA's site

  • Bilstein shock absorbers complement the urethane-foam-injected front suspension cross member to provide superior dampening and handling performance.
  • Strong, lighter 19-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels are paired with high-performance 225/40R19 tires that help maintain grip and vehicle control.
  • The R3's enhanced handling is complemented by the powerful 1.3L RENESIS rotary engine with an impressive 9000 rpm redline mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
  • Uniquely-sculpted exterior features an aerodynamically modified front end, while side sill extensions and a rear wing spoiler help aid vehicle stability at high speeds.
  • Exclusive Brilliant Black Clearcoat and Aurora Blue Mica exterior set the R3 even further apart.
  • Standard integrated side turn indicators, fog lights, Xenon self-leveling headlights and rear twin circular LED taillights.
  • Aggressively styled cockpit features aluminum foot pedals and foot rest, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, parking brake and shift knob with aluminum accent.
  • Designed exclusively for the R3, Recaro front sport seats add a high-performance feel to the interior while providing better lateral support for shoulder, torso and hips.
  • Bluetooth hands-free phone system allows you to take calls without taking your concentration off the task at hand - pure high-performance driving.
  • 300-watt, 9-speaker Bose audio system with Centerpoint Surround Sound and AudioPilot provides surround sound from the in-dash, 6-disc CD/MP3 changer or auxiliary audio input jack for mobile media devices such as an iPod*.
  • With the available Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry and Start System you can keylessly lock or unlock both doors, start the engine or remotely operate the power windows.
  • Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Traction Control System (TCS) optimizes rear-wheel traction and cornering while increasing driver vehicle control.
  • Tire-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), advanced driver and front passenger air bags**, side air bags and side curtains are all standard.

just like the 3rd gen rx7's...there was a r1 model and a r2...my guess is that there jus goin down the line...also the 1st gen rx7 was a FB 2nd gen is a FC, 3rd was a FD and the rx8 is the FE....someone has put those on a ms6 already.. heres the pic...

I've seen that pic before, but I don't think those are the R3 wheels, but the standard '09 wheels. The R3 wheels would be darker than the LPM paint.

Talking to someone today that asked about these, apparently they're $2100 a wheel. I need a part # to find out what the actual cost is.

$2100 a wheel.....I don't know man. Who would honestly pay that much for a factory wheel? You could get some bad ass aftermarket wheels for 2100 a piece....and still have a fair amount towards some go fast goodies.

I would never pay $2100 for one wheel, not for a Mazda. If it were a Ferrari or Porsche, I might consider it. I'm gonna call on Monday and get the part number, then have my source look up dealer cost.

I'd like to see if anyone can photoshop the R3 wheels on an MS6, to get an idea. Last I heard from the dealer the rims were $1,200 a piece
