Anyone replace the grill on their CX-5?

Every time I look at the car, I hate the honeycomb grill more and more. I also don't like how you can basically see right inside, and I worry about too many bugs in the radiator and other stuff and having to clean that out.

I've been thinking about replacing the grill with this one, which is really the only one I can seem to find aftermarket.

I think it looks a lot cleaner and sleek. Has anyone replaced their grill or at least found other options?

You could wait for the 2016 model and swap it with that. Keep in mind this is a spy shot so that is why it is covered.

The aftermarket grill looks too restrictive to me... I wouldn't run it. I would be willing to bet that it would raise the under hood temp.

I used flat blacked mine a few weeks ago, it really matches the lower black plastic molding. Planning to redo it and the front emblem with matte clear to see what I get.

It comes with or without cutouts for a radar detector. I'm in Virginia, and radar detectors are super illegal, so no cutouts for me. I actually think I like it better than the one I posted in my OP, but I wish it came with or had a matching piece for the bottom.

I took a look at the one at aliexpress. It makes the front look like a Humpback Whale. Don't like. (notcool)
