I want to remove the round left air vent and replace it with a Boost gauge. Ive seen a few other people asking about doing this aswell, but I havent found any answers for it. Ive got an idea on how it might come out, Im figuring most likely it has two clips that it pops into and the only way to properly remove it would be pulling it through the back side. If anyone knows for sure and could help me and the others out that would be great!!!

Thanks (mj)

I have not done this myself, but from the service manual:
Remove the following parts:
1) A-piller trim
2) Front scuff plate
3) Front side trim
4) Hood release lever
5) Lower panel, under steering wheel
6) Decoration panel (above glove box)
7) Dashboard center panel
8) Meter hood
9) Instrument cluster
10) Dashboard garnish (dash piece surrounding instrument cluster)

Pull the driver-side ventilator grille outward and remove it.
Remove the screw, then remove the driver-side demister grille.
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Have fun, and good luck. And take pictures!

are you talking about the round vent? if so they just pop out if you pull on em

I am talking about the round vent, how hard do you have to pull?? It dosent break?

WELL I have figured everything out, I bought a 52mm Greddy Black/Red Electronic boost gauge, Im going to mount it in the vent. I Have found a couple things that are going to make my install so perfect looking, Im so suprised how it worked out. But basically it will involve cutting the internals of the vent out, I already ordered a new vent ($41) from my dealer to use that as my peice to cut and put my gauge in. Im very excited to install this, and after its in I think some of you will also be wanting to know what I used for the install, it honestly should look perfect. Ill be sure to post pics!!!! Thanks again Rotus8!
