I installed the SR Motorsports pully set onto my 2.0.

After the installation, I notice my idle was rough a little bit, then is getting worse. So, my check engine lite on, P0301, cylinder 1 misfiring. So I thoguht will that be a timing mistake when I install the crank pully? Hoever, I did the timing advaced mod on my engine as well, will that affect it? Please help me someone. (bowdown)

As I understand it, you have to be incredibly careful with this mod because you can screw up the timing easily. Try resetting the CPS back to where it was before you did the mod and let us know if it helps.

yeah thats a pulley that isn't keyed and you can seriously mess up your timing by putting it on if you don't have a way to retime the engine i think you may have to go pay to have some one set it back up for you.

Hi, thank you guys. I finally fingure out what's with the idle problem. It wasn't the timing problem, I actually has a intake leak.... Anyway, is fixed now. I actually notice the pully didn't make a huge difference, however, @ low-mid rpm I felt my car is a little bit more pulling (more torque), especally when I going up-hill. So, is not a bad mod. (burnout)

how did you figure the intake leak out?

First, when I move around the crank sensor, nothing happen. Still shity idle.
So, I hook up my laptop and check all the data. I notice when #1 cylinder @ TDC, my first O2 sensor will act weird... Just not a good wave form. So, I check the #1 spark plug...nothing wrong. Start it up again, I finally can hear a tiny vaccum noise from the inake manifold...but is so tiny that is so hard to notice... Remove the manifold, notice the gasket is dirty, clean it, and install everything back. Runs fine again. (pissed)

interesting thanks for the input... i have a slight idle issue that i can't seem to figure out its 10x better since i changed my purge seloniod valve. but still once in a while i get a weird hesitation.

With the engine light on? Cause from what I know, there's a PCM reprogram for the 3 from the dealership that will change the idle smoother. There's some more service bullentin for 3 that is for enigne light on/rough idle, changing the purge seloniod valave is one of them. I think they have an updated purge seloniod valve. The others will be the wire modification for the MAF (short cord) and changing the first O2 sensor (bank 1,sensor 1). These will helps the idle and te engine light issue.
