anyone have this Ebay CAI??

not me but i know someone who does, IMO all intakes r alike, except some have an Injen sticker while others have an AEM sticker, they r all just a tube with a filter at the end..

it'll be fine since it has the rubber elbow. It should clear the master cylinder. Even though it's not pictured, hopefully it'll come with another coupling for the MAF.

There was a thread comparing EBAY vs INJEN CAIs. The only thing you're really paying for getting the INJEN is the CARB sticker. You may want to invest in a better cone filter (K&N). But that's just my $.02.

If you get pulled over and they see that your intaked doesnt have a CARB sticker will they make you take it off? can you get a CARB sticker or a green light for you intake?

CTpro5 isn't from CA, he's from CT :) We don't have to worry about CARB here.

Anyways.. I have the eBay CAI, though right now I have the lower section removed (took it off for the winter, the filter down there (K&N) was really dirty anyways). I like it a lot, I just wish the couplings weren't blue.

thanks anyways, any Cali guys out there know what i can do?

bet it will be fine.......i have been using an ebay SRI for the past couple years w/no problem! great $55 spend; came with two filters, too!

I wouldn't trust it. Dude's grammar is horrible and he said "gains xx-xxhp and xx-xx horsepower" I think his estimates are just a little off there as well.

I drove on that same exact intake, except it was from a diffrent company but all the parts look exactly the same.Im from cali too, that intake worked good for me but i only drove on it for like 5 months. It works pretty well for the price, not a bad idea in my eyes for u to pick it up.

look for a different CAI.... I bought one of the cheap ones it looked way better than that one... it looks cheap.... find something better looking.... because theres nothing more worse than popping your hood to show your friends something totally cheap looking... i think PVC would look nicer than that... and the air filter should be HUGE.... not small... bigger the filter, more HP.... it can breathe a heck of alot better...

I think your only option is to buy one that is CARB approved. Even though the eBay ones are definitely just replicas of ones that are CARB approved, I think they'd have to pay to get verified and it's only one state so they just don't.

I have one like that. Works fine. However I added a K&N filter, hose techniques couplers, and I'm getting a better elbow too. After upgrading all that you might as well get an Injen for 60 more.

The pipe that the filter attaches to didn't align to the mounting location very accurately.

you could always put back the stock airbox come smog time. i found a relatively cheap injen here and switched from the ebay cai i was running.

Ever heard of Griffin's edge ink? It's this black dye that you use to repair the edge of shoe soles. Taggers use it in refillable markers. The blue bits are rubber, right? You could try dyeing them black, but I couldn't personally guarantee your results.
