Anyone have any experience with Modacar in Livermore CA?

Hello All!

I searched the forums and did not find much on "Modacar".

They are a high performance shop in Livermore CA (I live next door in Pleasanton) and I was wondering if anyone here on the board has had them work on their Protege/P5/MSP etc.

There is a new article in Super Street showing them installing some cams or something in a Honda - so I guess they know what they are doing.(Or more than I would)

I am in the market for some parts (Struts/springs/catback) and would also like someone to install them.

Any opinions on them would be helpful....

Thanks
PS: if anyone knows of a reliable installer in the SF BayArea, let me know too.

Ive taken a look around the shop but no actual experience with their work.
The seem like cool guys.
While your there go next door to Vishnu Performance/ Tuning.
Not much to see there but they do have a kick ass 4 wheel dyno.
Shiv who owns the joint is way cool and one of the smartest tuners around.
Probably see some sweet EVO's & WRX's there. He usually has a couple cool cars there.

Thanks BoOsTiN...

Yeah,

I think I'll check them out and see what they got.....

Vishnu Performance? Hmm...another tuner shop....I'll check them too. I love Evo's and Wrx's - but I'm on a P5 budget.

Don't know anything about the shop your talking about, but save yourself some money on the catback and install it yourself. Its not that hard from what I hear. Just a few flanges and hangers to wrestle with. Nothing too complicated and it doesn't require specialist tools beyond a good set of wrenches and some jack stands.

You'll feel more proud when you are done too as you did it yourself!

Yes, I have thought that it would be very satisfying to do something on the car myself - I did put on my Kartboy shifter and bushings and that felt good!

But everytime I look over anything that has to do with the struts, I just say "no way man...."

I'll probably do the cat-back myself - looks easy enough.

Peace,
