Why did they ruin a good car to make that trailer? If you're gonna make a trailer, make a trailer. Don't just cut the tip off the front of a perfectly good car so you HAVE to tow it.
Anyone else find it weird that they left the whole front seat area of the car?
That said, I'm gonna go take the front license plate off my car and call it a trailer.

I think its cool as hell! The car was probably smashed in the front, and it was just a natural place to chop it at. All they had to do was remove the front subframe, weld up a hitch and smooth the firewall.

I've already thought about doing that with a wrecked P5. I love the Idea.
If you have to pull a trailer it might as well look good. You bought your car because you like it right? Why not a matching set? (dunno)

no p5 driver is that retarded. why would you waste a perfectly good car? i guess if they have the $$$, people will try anything.

i thought the p5 wasn't recommended to tow anything in the owners manual....

but its funny how the passat trailer doesn't have tint up front in the drivers seats... hahah and why does it need the exhaust pipe?

and i'm not an expert in trailers but wouldn't having the wheels so far away from the tow point with not much weight behind the wheel to counterbalance put alot of weight onto the back of the towing car?

The P5 can handle a small trailer (bike or jetski), but its not recommended. It doesn't have tint up front because its an exact mimic of the tow vehicle, also hence the exhaust tip. As far as the axle placement, that would put alot of weight on the hitch, either he's got helper airbags in the rear to help handle it, or possibly a third wheel under the front of the trailer.

I don't understand why everyone is bashing this guy? Its not a totally original idea, as people have been doing similar stuff for a long time, but I honestly think its the best execution of the idea I've ever seen, as well as him having taken the idea farther than anyone else I've ever seen. Maybe a little bit of envy/anger that we can't do it with our car?

That's gotta be one of the dumbest things I ever seen!

I love it, and i mean comeon guys its not like the guy bought a brand new car and cut the front off. It's probably been totalled at one point. I think its great.

are we sure the photo isn't photoshopped?
Nope, the pics are real.

I suppose if you've got the extra cash, and you find a wagon that's been in a front-end, then go for it.

Is that even a P5? The windows are all wrong, looks like a VW to me. Also the pic says vw-page.at. And I think its a photochop.
