Anyone else seriously considering the OV Tuning turbo kit for the 3rd gen 6?

I'm definitely toying with the idea as I would really love to have a sleeper Mazda6. I love the platform but the power leaves me wanting. For the $5000 to push up to 340-380 bhp I'd be quite pleased. I don't think I can't wait for a Mazda speed 6 in the future.

If the engine of new CX9 is a good reference, the engine (2.5T) makes 250hp/320ft-lb (on 91 octane).
On 87, it makes 227hp/320ft-lb.
That would feel like a diesel engine that we have been hoping for but do not get.

There's no telling what a difference in low end torque would end up at with that Borg Warner 7163. It would make the car an absolute joy to drive around town and on the highways being such a high compression engine. Kinda scary for reliability purposes running even .5 bar on the 2.5g but who knows. It's all forged parts on it though you would need bracing on all fronts; new suspension, strut tower bar, etc. to enjoy that power. Rather than buy a new car I wouldn't mind putting down the dough but dyno charts and test cars are a must. Looking forward to what becomes of that kit.

Should be an easy install with gobs of room around and under our engines. I never notice my engine even close to blazing hot even in the summer season. If Ov Tuning's estimates are accurate then maybe the low end of 340-380 bhp and possibly 300 lbs/ft? They claim even better mpg?! I will say this may help mitigate the concern with DI engines and carb buildup. I've been meaning to snake a camera down in around the intake manifold to check for sure.

Lots of 4 bangers coming out with power unheard of from the factory. Volvo even has a new triple turbo 4 cyl coming out in their fleet. The Amg in the gla45 and cla45; overpriced but a great engine.
