Anyone here dyno a Mazda 6 GT V6 manual tranny?
If so, can you post the results, I would really like to see them. Thnx!

6s MTX
Average WHP is between 175-185 depending on mileage. (Stock).
Lowest stock was 175, highest was 185 I think. Average of course falls between those two.

That particular dyno'd car was also run at the track (stock) and ran a 14.822 @93 mph.

A 6s ATX dyno's around 155-165 WHP. Here's a dyno of that...

Higher # of course is modified. (Thats my old 6s ATX).

6i MTX dyno's around 140 WHP...
6i ATX dyno's around 120-127 WHP...

I can't find the 6i dyno's right now, but you also didn't ask for them. Since the Mazda 3s MTX/ATX uses identical engine/transmission as the 6i MTX/ATX...it also dyno's exactly the same.

Thus the first dyno I gave you.

With a dyno sheet right below that line...thats the 6s MTX stock dyno.

Oh crap, sorry didnt realise, Thnx a lot!
And G-d damn it, the car looses a lot of horsepower in the powertrain. That sux!

So wait a second, instead of buying a thirsty V6, I should get the lighter I4 and do some mods. Which mods would bring me close to getting the power the V6 gets in manual tranny? And I am talking WHP.

Its actually about average. The ATX though loses ALOT more then average.
Yeah, that's why I am not even considering getting it in Auto tranny. I should be signing papers late this week to early next week.

With nothing more then a CP-E intake, you've already gotten a better power/weight ratio then a 6s ATX. (in a 6i mtx).

Remember that a 6i mtx (barebones) is almost 300 lbs lighter then a 6s ATX...with only 15-20 less WHP.

Draxas just finished their headers for the 6i...so that combined with a highflow cat, single pipe/muffler, cp-e intake...and some lightweight wheels and tires...and there ya go.

Will it be 160 WHP? Probably not...but because of the weight difference, you'd still beat a 6s ATX in a straight line.

I pretty much made up my mind. Manual tranny 6s. only mods I will be making over the next year, new intake and suspension upgrade. Maybe new rims, but the tire is what is important for me, I want Toyo proxes T1-s tires. Stock size. For me, it's all about the performance. I couldnt give crap for looks as long as it already looks good as it is.

Thnx a lot for your replies crossbow, they were really helpful.

well i have now purchased a MZ6s and i live it. the 4 is pretty peppy so don't sleep on it but you can FEEL the HP difference with the 6s. I will be dynoing soon with my stock 6s also i will be going to the track on NOV 6 at MIR raceway to see what i can do. I just turned 1000 miles on the car this weekend!!!
