I ordered some paint from these guys. They seem to be somewat hard to get a reply from through email. Anyone deal with these folks before?

well, here's my experiece so far.

I saw price, seemed ok, but since I'm in Canada, I wanted to know the shipping cost.

Took 2 emails, but finally got a reply that said $10.00....nothing more. I had also asked about getting a set up PIAA's....no response.

I said screw it, I don't need the paint for like 2 months yet, so I don't care how long it takes, I'll go ahead and order it.

Web site ordering process was simple, and smooth. They sent email confimations regarding the order almost asap. This is all probably automatic anyhow.

1 day later I had recieved a notice saying shipping was $16, not 10, and they sent me an updated invoice.

They also noticed that my shipping address was different then my billing address, and wanted to verify both addresses with my VISA 1-800 phone number. This is good. Shows they are concerned with credit card fraud.

So, outside of their inability to answer emails, so far so good. I expected the shipping was more then $10.00 all along as I live FAR away. No problem there as it happens all of the time.

As for emails, lets face it. Most garage or auto stores don't have geeky techy email kinda guys. But, if their going to have a web based purchasing process, I kind of want faster/better responses then that.

Any other input from anyone else?

Just an update on this. I ordered the paint from these guys like 2 Fridays ago, and I've yet to see anything happen. VISA is not charged, no email saying it was shipped eithier. It's lools like the order is on back order. But, after sending them even more emails, notta one reply. I'm going to call them Monday, see what's up

So far, I'd beware of these guys. Too hard to get a hold of. I may cancel my order with them and get it somewhere else.

I've delt with them. If it's on backorder they won't tell you because they don't know if.when it'll get there. I would not suggest these guys. I ordered an intake for my friends jetta. The 16v not the VR6. but there is no process online to distinguish. That's genious right there.

DON'T ORDER FROM THESE GUYS EVER!

Here's the scoop:

I ordered the G2 paint kit over 4-5 weeks ago. Before I ordered it, since I live on NF, I thought I would email asking to see if shipping would cost more.

After2-3 emails of asking, I finally got a simple response that said only " $10.00" I had asked about getting some PIAA's through them as well, but they never ever said a word about it.

So, I ordered it online, and noticed, while ordering, the shipping said $8.00. I figured this was just a flat rate, and knew it wasn't right.

Sure enough, after ordering, I got one email saying. Your shipping is now $16.00 due to where I live. It never really asked me if this was ok, just TOLD me

So, that's fine. For some reason, I just let the order go on. It's only paint after all....what could happen?

Well, 2 weeks passed by, and nothing. No tracking numbers sent to me, no package notta. During those 2 weeks, i sent email wondering if I could have the status of the order....backorder? shipped? tracking #'s???? I never got one response.

So, I call them. The guy I was talking to was actually really nice. i found out that the order for some reason was canceled. And that there was another order of the same thing also in my name, it to was cancled. He didn't have an explanation, and apologized, and said he'll ship another one out to me ASAP. BUT, now my shipping was $25.00 Hmmmm, something smells fishy now. But, most things shipped to me do cost around 20-30 american...anyhow, frustrated, I said just send it, and send me some tracking numbers. OK he said.

I called on the 15th, it was shipped as promised. We will send you tracking numbers they say........never got them. Email after email I never got one reply. Sent email asking for them to double check and confirm the order, nothing, no response. i double checked email addresses, found other, sent copies....nottaa.

Today, I got a package at work from them. HUH? That was fast. Arizona to NF in 4 days? Cool. So, I open it, and it's... get this..


G2 Interior Spray. Basically, one spray can , that dyes the interior to "freshen up the color". More or less, just white paint for white interiors. NOT caliper paint.

66.00 US for this? 105.00 CDN for this????? WHAT! I thought I was nuts for spending that on the caliper paint as it was, but come on.

I'm calling them when I get home. Someone is going to hear a s*** load of cursing.

I would call the credit card company if they decide not to help and claim fraud. The credit card will usually help you out and fight for the money.

I've been sending these guys some pretty .....well....pissed off emails most of the day. I have to wait until after 6pm to call them because it's free then.

Maybe they just don't get it yet. I'm now trying to cancel my order all together. Trying to get all my money back. Or, at least get the right order sent some time this year. No really, it's money back now, or send the right order NOW. I'm pissed. All this trouble over Paint. PAINT! Imagine if I had ordered something really expensive. I'm going to call them later on.

I haven't yet received their return slip ( to send back the wrong thing they sent me). Forget actually getting what I ordered. I originally ordered back in Feb. 28th. I've got at least another 3 weeks of waiting yet.

I've emailed everyday for 2 weeks. Called, kept getting busy signals, and left messages....nothing. No reply, no nothing.

I've got this funny feeling my money is gone. I wish I could just cancel the order, and get it somewhere else. But I can't!

FINALLY!!!! got me an answer. Got a hold of some guy named Max. Nice enough fella. Anyhow, let me know that they are letting me keep the wrong thing they sent me( it's only $15 anyhow, cost more to ship the thing back anyways) and their going to send me the "correct order" (I'll believe it when I see it) once it's in stock again. It's backordered....of course, what next?

Anyhow, looks like I'm still waiting...... Why they couldn't email, or answer any of my phone calls to let me know this is beyond me.

Just to add a happy ending.

I got my paint today. FINALLY. It was originally ordered Feb 28. Talk about speedy delivery.

Anyhow, I'm just waiting now to see if they were stun enough to charge me for duty twice. I'm expecting it.

This is good timing too. The snow is finally just about gone, the roads aren't bad....knock on wood. And I got my new rims today, so I'm putting them on tonight. Can't wait! buh bye black steelies.

Anyone know of anything good to put on the alloys to protect them from getting chipped? some sort of wax or something that won't hurt the paint? I think this was asked back in the fall, but no one had an answer. We still got some bad sand out here.

Hey dude, sorry to hear about all the hassle but that sounds like when I bought my mp3 from my dealer.... it started off as it's coming in 2 weeks all the way to wait 5 months for my car...

Anyways, if you need any specialty stuff like that I could of bought you some from Toronto. I just bought some Folia Tec caliper paint for $50 taxes in. Just let me know next time and I will get it for you.....

on another note: My rims are back. I swear I've never been happier! I forgot how well this baby handled.

Car attracts to much attention though. As I was putting the rims on in the driveway, people in the neighborhood started noticing, and sure enough, everybody and their brother had to chat with me. Took me almost 3 hrs to change my damn rims because of "chit chat". Then I went for a drive, and sure enough, 2 cops chasing my ass the whole way.

I guess when I paint the calipers, it ain't going to get any better.
