Come on guys, nobody's replyed about the meet this Friday the 19th on the other board. It's suppose to be in the 50s tomorrow!! Anyways, were meeting at Porkies on University Ave in St. Paul around 6. Get something to eat and cruise around some twisty roads. Should be fun, we already have several new guys most of us haven't meet yet coming. YOU SHOULD TOO!! It's a good oportunity to show off your ride and mods. Hope everyone can make it to our pre-spring fling.
I wish I could - working on new intake on RX-8 tomorrow though and the protege is getting the oil changed.....

Brent,
Let me know if you need help installing, I am still on R&R for the next 2 weeks.

Hey guys, im new to this forum and the protoge. Just got an MP5, I live in Minneapolis but am moving back home to Woodbury in a month then to Menomonie, WI a month after that. Just thought I would drop in and say hi.

Hey Guys....

Im Ryan from Arden Hills/Roseville.

I had a PR5, just got a MSP 2003.5. Yellow.

Does anyone know of a good place to get aftermarket parts and have them installed? There are very good directions on the boards, but I just don't trust myself doing any of them.

Thanks,
Ryan

Depending what you want done, I have done everything on my car myself. Welcome aboard!

I've done everything myself as well, tunning is fun. Tomorrow, I'm dropping my tranny and swapping out the upper oil pan piece from my es to the msp one. How fun is that?

Hey tytanium, do you want to help? I need a tranny jack or something that may work and I think I may need a cherry picker as well, don't know for sure. PM me you number and I'll give you a call.

hi people i'm from blaine,MN.... errr yeah, just htought i'd say whussup, and does anyone know how to install boost controllers and boost gauge plus oil psi gauge?????? and have it look professional? lol.

I know some of us hear have done boost guages, myself included, very easy. Find a place to mount the guages that suites you, on the dash, under the dash, in the middle of you radio councel (one of the din's), or on a pilar pod. Just goto autometer, they have several suggestions of products that may help you decided where you want to mount them. If you have a mbc, those are very simple to install; however a ebc is a little more tricky doto the wiring. Cool to have you here, hay if you or anyone hasn't sugned up for mazda rev it up, do so now!!

hmmm my cousin went to mazda rev it up last year... what exactly do you do there???? i'm a nooby... sorry lolz, oh yeah, i have a MBC, and i just dont wanna blow up my motor... but you are all giong to the mazda rev it up thing?

Here are a few links to posts regarding rev it up:

I'd have the boost guage installed first and then slowly turn up the boost on the controller untill you reach a desired level. Do some searching to see where you should set it at, I think most people are are 8 psi without any other mods and seems to be safe. BUT CHECK FOR YOURSELF, I only can remember so much. With some slight mods, I think people are running higher boost levels 10 or 12 psi. No more than that though without forged internals and major engine mods.

There's lots of resources here, just search or ask a question about a specific topic in an appropriate section.
