Anybody move their front license plate to the lower air dam?

my car has never run any hotter with it there.

check out the how to section for plugging up the holes with GM universal fasteners. it looks quite good, especially when painted body colored.

Attached is a picture of the sample kit that we provide. Also visit my web site at tandaperformance.com for more info.

Take care...

Thanks for the info but, argh.I can't find the info anywhere on where to buy the plugs...I did a search and nothing came up...what words should I search with? Or do you know a place that sells them? Thanks!

and i recommend you sand the "screw" portion down if the fit is too tight. i sanded them even and they wont come out, and i pushed them in before i painted them so now i cant really paint them well.

Hey man I far as I know it is illegal to modify your plates in any away or form. I just went to Recon this afternoon and it has be at least 12" from the ground. I lowered my car and it failed because it doesn't bounce up and down 2". Oh yeah they want me to remove my fogs because the centers are less than 12" from the ground also. **** Recon!!! You guys know any Safety station that will do it without it? Any help would be appreciated!

the front plate has no requirement for " off the ground, at least not in california. Only the back plate must be between 12" and 6 ft off the ground.

what is recon?

Here in Hawaii and only on Oahu, anytime you modify the car from stock, wheels, suspension, exh. and etc. we have to go and get this reconstruction inspection. There's certain limitations on what we can do to our vehicles. The laws were made back in the eighties so they really suck and can hardly apply to the newer cars of today. We can't legally get a Safety inspection without it. Safety insp. are only once every 12 months and Recon you only need to once for as long as you own the vehicle. It's just a bulls*** way for the City and County of Honolulu to make money!

uclap5, do a search :) i think i did a nice article about that recon bull s*** a while back if u wanna read up more :) - chris
