Anybody have this body kit?

Saw this kit on Onderground-design.com...thought it looked pretty good. Anyone have this kit, or know how it fits and looks in reality on a P5? Feel free to tell me what you think...it's a nice looking kit, not to mention the price ain't that bad...

personal opinion....

i dont like the rear skirt. I much prefer the stock MSP/MP3 rear skirt. That just looked weird to me having screen hang down that far

front? I think being able to see the lines between stock bumper and lip and lip and wind thing is a bad look. Even if the paints matched perfectly, you would still be able to see the lines, doesnt do it for me.

the grill doesnt look AS well fit as the autoexe. Looks like its REAL close but not perfect, kinda jumped out at me

I wont swap out for those side skirts but I do like them

as for the thing on the hood......yeaaaaaa........wings west has a 2 piece thing that sits on the top of the hood and I tihnk i kind of like theirs. but this one doesnt seem to go with anything at all. Seems like a random lump







and just so you know, when this kit was being developed there were threads about it on here. I personally was really excited cuz it was supposed to be just like autoexe the rumor was but a lot cheaper. I think i am gonna shell out some extra coin for the real thing. And when this pic was first posted the girl who owns that p5 who I believe is a member here, posted about it and said it looks a lot better in person and that the hood thing is just resting there. She didnt buy it but they wanted to show what it looked like in the pics she was taking so they just put it on there.......I still dont think it would look any better actually installed, but im just sayin.....

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but damn...This kit looks a hell of a lot better than the 1st kit they let us see. As I remember, veilside accually has these for their Celica kits. The hood spoiler is a little to thick though.

they shoulda taken their time to match up lines and make everything fit well.

Definatly hate the hood wing and rear. The skirts arent bad. The grill insert is off, doesnt match the line with the hood so it looks junky, same with the front lip, the lines dont line up well.

And of course matching paint woulda made it look much better, and toss them eyelids, or do them better.

Nice first try, but needs some tweaking onderground, not too many people want a 'mediocre' kit unless they are low on cash and big on dreams.

Yeah it looks like a set of Legos the way everything is snapped together. I mean, personally I wouldn't put anything like this on my car. But to each their own!

i came across that garbage some point last week when i was looking for headlight eyebrows... and i didnt want to say anything because that F*n website is the sorriest thing i have ever seen. I cant even believe they made a gorgeous car like the p5 look like a the "pep boys team civic" AWEFUL. By the way anyone know what type of eyebrows richie has on his car. I think they are mint blue... can someone post a pic of those? because i cant go to the mintblue site it never works for me.

Yeah, after what ya'll have said, I would prolly have to agree...the hood thing does our cars no justice! However, the new TRD Toyota Celica comes with one, and that doesn't look bad at all.

After taking a good look at that kit on the site, everyone who has posted here was absolutely right...it does look like crap. The lines don't meet up particularly well, but I was more or less looking at the overall design, which I don't find that bad. Save the hood spoiler, the styling is ok, but IT DEFINITLY NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. I think the Onderground site has another air dam for the regular protege...perhaps we should take a look and then give them an idea of what we think...

A couple of yall were talkin about an "autoexe" kit or something...:wtf: is that? I have never heard of it, but as I realize this kit is crap, the ongoing search for a decent P5 body kit continues...

Why is the whatever on the hood in every pic except the last one.

After having seen this kit in person (I too know the owner of said car), it isn't as bad as the pictures suggest...

Ah well, maybe Onderground should invest in a new photographer/camera.
