Anybody a UT 2003 fan??

I was thinking we could practice playing this game as a HUGE team. Then go online and kick ass. Anyone interested, we can start as soon asyou guys let me know. Ill host the practice maps and give you all my server IP.

I tried it but the Linux version demo but it runs like s*** for me and I've got a GeForce 4 card.........my only Windows machine is my work laptop but I dunno if it'll run it. It's a Thinkpad T40 with a mobile ATI radeo and a 1.5ghz Pentium.

I have it but don't play it much. Its hard to get into all these games, when just when u get semi-decent at it, a new one comes out w/ a million mods..and everyone cheats/hacks, etc etc..
I think UT2004 is coming out soon, so everyone will probably be playing that anyway..

yeah, it's weird cuz original UT runs fast as a scalded dog in My Linux box but 2K3 is choppy as hell.....sound too. I got all the newest driver RPM's from the Mandrake cooker and checked the Nvidia site to make sure they were the newest but no dice. I don't have the full game though....just the demo. I'm gonna try the demo on my Win2K laptop maybe this weekend or something and if it runs then I'll guy buy the full version and jump in with you fella's.

I've been debating on doing that.....problem is you always have to load Windows 1st.....if there was a way to do it with Linux installed already then I'd be down......I've spent too many hours tracking down RPM's and updates to throw away my sweet Mandrake 9.1 install now

Easiest thing to do is install a smaller hd just for windows and gaming, then make it hd1. Just update your fstab and your golden.

I might be down, I'll have to track down my discs if I still have them. I'm waiting patiently for 2004, the demo's are wonderful=D
