Any S-Plan buyers?

that's why i hate dealers with HUGE doc fees. ours is only $129. people tell me that they have my price beat by $200 all of the time...well, look at the $400-$500 doc fee you'll have to pay there that you don't here...now, who's giving you the better deal?

yeah, just be careful...educate yourself and you'll be ok. and always check on financing it yourself first...us dealers can mark-up rates over the "buy rate" to make money that way as well...but if you can get a better rate elsewhere, use that as ammo against the dealer. if they match it, good...if not, finance it at your source.

I did not notice any fee's on our S Plan....although my husbands sister said she gets the D Plan so not sure what plan we got...crazy! All I know is we got $500 below invoice and $500 as cash towards our downpayment. I looked at the contract and the numbers...did not notice anything else....makes me wonder if I was not shown something....well, can't worry about it now. We were happy with the numbers.

Recently purchased my CX-7 GT AWD, red copper with the sand interior. I am truly loving it. Not able to do the S plan, but I found the cars I wanted within a 150 mile radius and e-mailed everyone. Ended up purchasing at $200 over invoice with the after market dealer x-tras at no additional charge. I hate buying cars, but hearing from 8 different dealers was helpful.

Nice... I liked red copper too but it's too sunny for red where I am (FL). I was afraid it would fade too quickly. Same for black leather seats - they would be way too hot! So, I ended up with a Sport FWD liquid platinum (black cloth interior which is really gray and doesn't heat up in the sun) with the Bose/sunroof package. I love mine too.

Do you have a trailer hitch and if so is it from Mazda or 3rd part?

I used the S-plan, but my experience could have been better.

a) I got stuck with a newbie salesman, who didn't know what the S-plan was but pretended like he understood what I was talking about. After 40 minutes of haggling in which I thought the dealership didn't honor the S-plan, the manager finally figured out what was going on.

b) To make things worse, it took 4.5 hours to buy the car AFTER I had agreed to buy! I found that ridiculous. Most of the time was spent standing around while the newbie salesman couldn't be found. Idiot.

c) Despite inspecting it before I left, I found several little blemishes around/inside the car after I drove it for about a week. Nothing major, but some of them seemed odd for a new car with only 31 miles on it, which worries me because I'm always thinking "geez, what did they do to this car?" I should have held out and had them order me one fresh off the boat.

The good is that the dealer waived ALL of his bogus fees, so I got it for the exact S-plan price and not a penny more. Plus I was able to negotiate free all-weather and trunk mats.

Bottom line: Economically it was awesome, but I don't have confidence in the dealer and how they treated my car before I bought it.

Is S-plan the only plan available or is A/Z plan available as well? I'm eligible for A/Z plan through Ford.

any ford plan (A, X, Z) with mazda is converted to S-plan so yes you are eligible for S plan pricing.

invoice less any applicable rebates, plus tax tag + any other fees the dealer adds.... basically.

hmmm I'm confused... I also have the opportunity to use the X/S plan once I've worked at my current employer for 6 months. My wife's looking at getting a CX-7. Is the CX-7 included?

I know the price varry's on each vehicle and dealer price, but I'm trying to get a ballpark idea on what the price would be. How much over/under the MSRP are we looking?

ahhh- nice- thanks!!! Looks like we could get the grand touring AWD for a little over 25K. Not bad!!!!

Ok, well now I'm nervous that my company doesn't offer the "S-plan" but only the X-plan? I can't find a damn thing on the S-plan, but they do mention Mazda. hmmmm. I'll have to ask someone in HR tomorrow, but WTF- don't the X and S plans go together?

What i was told at my job......X-Plan gives u $400 above invoice. Dont quote me though, i need to look into a little more.

Ford's version of the S-Plan is called X-Plan. If you have the Ford X-Plan, you also have the Mazda S-Plan.

All S/X-Plan pricing is available from FordPartner.com. You just need your company's partner code and country to get access to all Mazda, Mercury, Ford, Lincoln, Volvo, Land Rover, and Jaguar S/X-Plan pricing. The pricing is different depending on the brand.

Here's the Mazda S-Plan pricing PDF for 2007 models. (Right Click, Save As)

Well it looks like we're getting a CX-7 in the next two weeks!!! We test drove a 2wd one yesterday and loved it. We'll be getting s-plan pricing which was $500 less than employee price so here's what we're getting.

CX-7 Sport 2WD - mica gray?
Moonroof/Bose package
Compans mirror
black cloth interior

for about $24K

Not sure if this is OTD pricing. Anything I should be looking for or asking the dealer before we do anything. Luckily my wifes parents are takeing her current car so we don't have to sell or trade anything in. We won't have anything to put down, but the S-plan helps about 3-4K off sticker price.

Any pointers would be great. Thanks!!!

that's strange... i just walked in to the dealer and said I would pay invoice on their car and they would pay blue book on mine. they agreed and I walked away with a car.

I don't get all these plans you speak of...
