Looking for a place to get my car lowered here in GA, I don't exactly have access to a garage( nor the tools) so I need to find a way get get the car lowered. Anyone that knows a place please let me know.

I've seen a few places along Cobb Prkway and Roswell Rd in Marietta by the "big Chicken" KFC that I'm sure could do it. I have no idea of their reputation or prices, though. You could always rent tools from AutoZone, like a spring compressor and jack stands.

I've yet to see a How-To online that would make me comfortable enough to do it myself.

It's a pretty long way away from you, but you give a call to OPM Autosports in Cumming (770.886.8199). Tom Fowler raced a Protege in World Challenge for a while and did a lot of suspension work on a Protege5 he had. Knows his way around the cars.

I don't want to volunteer. But if you were to come out to a meet or two I bet you could get someone to help you do it.

There are lots of places around here that will lower your car. Most of the shops require you to purchase the lowering springs somewhere and bring them in though. Here's a few shops I've done business with that will lower you car:

Butler Tire (4 locations in Atlanta - www.butlertire.com Phone: 770-973-8622)

Engineered Performance (Smyrna - www.engineered.net Phone: 770-434-0051)

MazCare (1962-B AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK DR SE
MARIETTA, GA 30062 Phone: 770-859-9643)
*This shop specializes in Mazda aftermarket parts and installation so could probably get the springs you want and install them.

Good luck!

Just do it yourself. I had never done it before, and had no problems. Only basic tools are needed... I didn't need a spring compressor. if you PM mx3ownzj00 he can give you a detailed how-to with pics.

Save yourself the 150-200 bucks AND learn about your car in the meantime.

Kauffman Tire. Come on out to the GA meets.

It's fairly easy....just need an air compressor, some hand tools, and a spring compressor (which I have).....let us know we're willing to help out...
