One thing though..I'm not sure about the "halo" thing going on around your buildings against the blue sky. Maybe correct that a bit in pshop after photomatix?

So I took my 100mm f/2.8L to the zoo yesterday and had a blast! It really gave me a new-found appreciation for the lens... my only wish is that I had had a zoom lens to compliment it.

Yeah, these one's I went a little "over the top" with. I normally process all of my HDR's very "true to life", just wanted to do something a little different.

The 100mm f/2.8L is ~$885 with a rebate currently offered at B&H and Adorama.

Too bad I paid full price ($950) like.. 2 weeks before the rebate went into effect.

I understand that you have real good lenses to get that kind of shaprness, but how do you get colors to look that good (laraw and sleeper3 on the last few photos)?!

idk, correct exposure and a little bit of color boost. If you're talking about the photo of the Jaguar, I did some post processing to get it to look like that. It's amazing how much better the good lenses pass color. Rent one and see!

For the most part I have just had extremely good luck with my lenses. If needed, I will do a bit color boosting in PP to really get the colors to pop.

I did not do any color correction or PP on that peacock (I'm guessing you are referring to that one)... except for re-size, lighten a smidgen and sharpen.
