Any photographers in here?

If I can ever stop buying car parts or track time I'm going to finish my auto rig and buy new glass. :(

Hey guys thanks. For that fog shot, that was with my kit 55mm lens. I really wish I had that 10-22mm for it, though, it was such a spectacular morning... I need that freakin lens!

And a prime lens...

And some L-glass...

And a better body...

And...and...and

Haha that's exactly what I say. Tamron makes a 10-24 that's much cheaper than the Canon 10-22. I'm partial to the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8.

I need to get a 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L. I rent it 2-4 times per year. I probably could've owned it by now.

That's part of why I stopped modding, haha. This hobby has a better potential to become a job is how I justify it!

Yeah :( I was shadowing/assisting a wedding photographer for a while after I got out of college. I had it in my mind that I was going to do that instead of get a job in my field.

Not much money to be had for photographers any more. Chicago Sun-Times just fired its whole photo department in favor of freelance iPhone users.

The first option is a really interesting design. I wouldn't use it, but hats off on the clever design. The buckle is nice, so long as all your lenses have the same lens cap size.
On my legacy lenses I use the simplest option.

So, I ran down to Hocking Hills State Park over the weekend to see if I could get the hang of the new camera. Lots of scenery and way too many stairs (my calves are burning today). I got a decent shot or two and I learned a lesson about going from an advanced point and shoot to a DSLR. A 70-300mm lens needs some distance. I kept seeing a landscape, but couldn't step back far enough to get the shot. I should've kept the kit 18-55mm lens with me as well.

Went out to a friend's house friday night for a BBQ. 2 yr olds are much more difficult to photograph than animals...

did a mini photoshoot with a work colleagues Nissan Cube before a car show this afternoon:
