Thanks, yea she had the whole deal going, purse, shall, gloves, shoes, tiara......Yea that was one of my first good pictures with my D40 when I had it....I def did too much vignette on it.....My son's first communion is coming up in may so I will be able to get some more really good shots.

Used my friends 70-200 f/4L IS USM with my POS 350D. Proof you dont need a good camera to take good pics. No editing at all, just converted from raw

Not exactly sure what makes you think that is a good picture. Your statement is true about not needing a good camera to make good pictures. I just think you used a really bad example.

IDK, the DOF is nice but maybe a hair underexposed?
Looks like a snapshot...

But I agree, glass is more important than body.

Yeah, that's the processing I wasn't as much a fan of. The "halo-ie" look isn't my cup of tea...

yeah..im pretty stoked..and found a good deal online where it came with a CPL and a few other goodies! not looking forward to purchasing grad and ND filters though..big jump from 55mm to 77mm, thats for sure

I love my Sigma 10-20. Bought it used for $250. Even though it may be a little soft, nothing a bit of post can not fix.
