Any other Firearm owners/enthusiasts here?

anyone have a desert eagle. i shot a friend of mines and it whas a frigin hand held anti-aircraft gun.

I wish I could afford the cost the AE .50 rounds. At almost a dollar per round, this gun is just way too pricey to shoot on a regular basis. However, just having a Desert Eagle as a discussion piece would be nice. It is definitely a hand cannon.

Wasn't a Desert Eagle the weapon of choice on CSI on Thursday?

I believe they remarked that it was quite the gun...um...in fact, now don't quote me here cause I didn't tape it, but I believe they said owning one made up for other...inadequacies. :)

as a matter of fact it WAS the weapon of choice on that particular show.....I don't remember that line in the show...but it sounds like something one of those wemon would say....especially since the guy that owned it was being an ass....lol

Thought i'd bring this thread back from the dead. Anyone aquire anything new lately? I recently aquired a nice Kahr MK9 Stainless Steel 9mm and a CZ-50 .32 auto

Hopefully i'll get out to the range again soon....haven't been in a few weeks.

Nice....those 17 round mags are getting harder and more expensive to come by.

From childhood, handguns only:

S&W .38 police issue (thanks grandpa)
.38 derringer
Glock 19, 30rd extension clip, 3-round burst
Sig Sauer .380
(current) Good ol' cheap Ruger P95DC for personal carry

The Glock 19 was my fav.
BTW, for folks who dont have a lot of cash (and who are right handed), Hi-point out of Ohio is making some really quality cheap guns right now. Of course not Sig or Glock accurate, but for the money they're a WONDERFUL deal. Think the honda accord of guns.

I had a Smith Sigma SW40VE in .40 for a while, it was a great gun.
I didn't realize the glock mags would fit... I guess since the factory smith mags were stainless, I never thought about the connection! :) Cool..

I've recently found a place with great ammo prices on the web.
It's www.natchezss.com

I've been shooting the CCI blazer stuff....They are selling 9mm for like 4.85 a box and .40 for 6.75 and .45 for 7.75

The prices may have changed, but they are still pretty darn good!

Well, I've only bought one in the last few months, which is pretty rare for me...

A Kimber Tactical Pro II .45....
It is one of the finest pistols I have ever owned, and I've owned quite a few. ;)

I went to the range last Saturday before it started raining... We got some new steel targets and they are awesome!! 6 silhouettes staggered at about ~2 yards from one another, and 4 or so feet apart on the side.. Walking down between them, double tapping each one... FUN STUFF! Hell, my friend took his Winchester 1300 defender 12 gauge down through there... That was cool to watch also.. lol

Lets see, I used to have more but they were accidentally sold when my grandfather passed away as were most of my collection that I was to inherit. Including some great WW2 pieces(God I get pissed just hinking about it) oh well. Some of which included a SS issue sidearm and a early german sub machine gun. My Grandpa lifted them off soldiers and brought them back. Oh well on to my collection.

Carry everyday:
Ruger P89 Stainless 9mm with 15 round clip

Collection
22 cal / 20 gauge over under. Winchester. Was a gift from Grandpa
WW2 rifle (not sure of make or model off the top of my head)
12 Guage Mossberg with pistol grip. (under my bed)

I really want to get back into shooting as I don't get to go very often anymore. When I was in college I was on the NC state rifle team and shot competetively for almost 2 years. Really want to get into shooting the 22 cal pistols. Made a grip for my one in college out of butter maple burlwood. Full formed to my hand with thumbhole and wrist rest. Donated to the school. Also I want a Glock 23. Love the .40 cal. Also used to have a S&W 5940 9mm. BTW Desert Eagles come in several calibers from 9mm all the way up to I think 44 cal. I shot like 4 models at a gun show last year. The 357 was probably the most fun to shoot out of the 4 but the 44 was just a cannon. Would love to get my hand on my old 30/6 but that was one of the guns I lost when my grandpa died. Probably the most accurate gun I have ever shot and powerful as hell. Also would love to own a SPAS-12 guage and a HK MP5. Guess I'll have to join the military or swat to get either of those though.

Anyone ever shot a Steyer Aug. Austrailian made gun and fun as hell to shoot. Composite stock and hndle under barrel. I like it much more than the M-16. Yes I have shot both of them so I am not just blowing smoke. My roommate in college had a freaking arsenal cause his dad wasa gunsmith. Also have shot a few full autos. Mac 10, Isreali Uzi, M-16, and a wild full auto pistol(don't remember the name but it looked like a baretta with a handle on the front. Anyone ever seen one of these???

Government Issue Colt .45. Great gun, good memories.

Got it for my 12th B-Day. Gotta love being a Republican!!!

The Desert Eagle goes up to a .50 cal if I'm not mistaken. That thing is a friggin hand-held anti-aircraft cannon...:D

Thanks KYred couldn't remember if it did or not. They only had up to the 44 at the range I was referring to. Which the 44 is still a cannon

Yeah...at my indoor range, they won't let you shoot anything bigger than a 44 magnum. But a 44 is definitely not weak.....BOOM....lol

One of the things I like about living in the country, don't have to go to a range. Just have to walk out my back door.

Yeah tell me about it...plus it's probably a lot easier for you to get a Carry Permit too. In MD, you need documented and notarized threats against you to get one.

Really? Whew... Here in Mississippi all I all you need are fingerprints, a picture, $124, and a bad attitude. :)

(I did have to wait 4 months for mine, but then again, I had to wait 6 months for my FFL.)
