Any one running this?

I don't think i have seen anyone change their WG on K04 turbos, stock works great, plus MS3's uses a electronic control module to control the WG.
 
The product is a waste gate ACTUATOR, not a different waste gate.

It's use would require other mods, and IMHO, it makes little sense for us.

Once boost gets above 18 psi on the K04 turbo several things happen, none of which are very good for the car: (1) the turbo overheats at high rpm when boost gets above 18; (2) the ECU does not like this and trys to slap you down with load cut under most conditions, especially when the weather is cool or cold; and (3), the actuator does not address the problem of overboosting when the wastegate is fully open and extra boost produces too much exhaust gas to pass through the port in the waste gate. You become exposed to dangerous boost creep.

The wastegate port itself, built integral to the K04 turbo, is too small to support high levels of boost without being enlarged. The extra exhaust flow that cannot escape through the port spins the turbo faster and boost starts climbing above your maximum target boost level as rpm increases, and you go zoom, zoom, boom.

This is probably why no one has responded to this thread as having tried this mod and having any level of satisfaction with it on our application.
