Any MI SCCA Members on here?

I was wondering if anyone is an SCCA member, and if so what events do you do?

I might join for next year so I can go to some of the driving instruction courses and some Solo II events.

im a member of the scca..

i do autox's
i try to go to all the events i can do..
last year i did about 10 until my g/f was selling her car..

i was using the Z to race instead of mine.
next season is time to break out the 400hp s13(nana)

have you ever done any of the schools/instruction courses? are they worth my $40 membership + $55 course fee?

I am not a scca member. but on the west side/ (centering around grandrapids) the racing group i am a member of (furrin group) is just as good. we get the usual $5 off at scca autox's and at furrin autox's. accept the only difference is that the furrin membership is only like 18 bucks. and they have ice races/ rallyx sometimes as well (wrc)

If you plan on doing a full auto-x season, the discounts in the racing fees will make up for the membership fee. I didn't do any auto-x this year as I've had a ton of bugs to sort through this year (still fixing more too).

Midwestern Council

I do a little bit with SCCA, but mostly midwestern council out of chicago. I've done on track autocrosses for the last few years and am planning on finally going wheel to wheel next season with an 81 rx7.

Scotthidley, i used to be awd92talontsi on dsmtalk. sucks that it crashed. i miss that site.
