Any Houston peeps willing to help?

I've been looking at some 2nd gen MS3's the last couple weeks but a 1st gen came up locally that had me thinking. It's a 2009 GT with low miles (36k) The major problem is a rebuilt title because of an attempted theft.

Does anyone in Houston know of this vehicle? I ran the vin through google and it was recently in Humble, on it's way down from Maryland it looks like. It does have over 30 records on the carfax, one website said up to 50, which is crazy.

I e-mailed the seller and I'm waiting to hear back. His website says there was no cosmetic or mechanical damage, of course.

In the mean time, if any one has any info, please fill me in, or maybe recommend a good mechanic in the area to look it over? I may just have a nearby Mazda dealer look it over.

Looks nice to me, I like the paint and that it's a GT. Let the car idle and watch the exhaust to see if it smokes indicating a bad turbo. Otherwise hit a lot of bumps to check for suspension noise and drive it hard to see how smooth it runs and feels in boost.
