Any fun features you like that others may not know?

I have the sunroof package and was excited to find that there is a trick to open the front windows and the sunroof when you are out of the CX-9 and the car is off. Push the unlock button and then quickly push it again for a few seconds. Voila!

Ya i did the same thing with my i don't have a sun roof. what i do is when the car is locked I push the unlock key 3 times quickly and then hold it the 4th time to open the front windows. Depending on how long you hold it for the fourth time depends on how much the windows lower. 2010 GS AWD

Actually, you need only push it twice, the second time within 1.5 seconds of the first push. Hold the button down on the second push to open front windows. Too bad the rear windows weren't included in this maneuver.

manual: p. 3-40

Actually, you can keep holding down the 2nd unlock or 3rd or 4th. It does not matter.
As long as all doors are unlock, subsequent signals to unlock will trigger windows/moonroof openning if hold down for a bit longer.

The window/moonroof opening feature was available on my now-gone '98 BMW. It even allowed me to close windows/moonroof if I kept holding down the lock button on the remote. On CX9, it does not work. Too bad, I found it useful sometimes had you forgot to close ALL windows (or moonroof) and decide to close them after locking the vehicle.

The most fun feature to me is getting into the NAVIGATION test mode and see all those hidden information of CX9. For example, I can see how many GPS satellites that are visible to the GPS system, current bearing, steering angle by gyro, self-testing of microphone, vendor of my stereo system,
current error code, clear error code, etc....

Same procedure does not work on 2009-2010 version. Anyone with a 2009/2010 WorkShop manual may be able to find the procedure that work for 2009 and 2010 CX9s. For 2007 and 2008, you can find the procedure on other threads. If not, give me a PM. I will post it here. (yawn)
