paint that beast man, it makes a world of difference, painter's tape and newspaper, semi-gloss or gloss if you prefer and about 2 hours of your time (taking off bumper, scuffing, paint and drying then re-install):

if your car is red like the one in your sig, the guy who helped with my demon/angel eye install has a red one too and after i did my grill he liked it so much he did his right away here is his in red:

Uhateit, did you just tape that off then sand/primer and hit it with some gloss black spray paint? How hard is the bumper to take off?

the bumper is not hard to take off at all, and im subbing to see uhateit's response, what kind of paint did you use? primer? any chipping thus far?

logik and i took the bumper off to get the headlights out for the demon eyes anyways. There are 8-10 screws on the bottom that attatch the underguard shroud, 2 push ones on each fender guard and a screw behind that(the worst one to deal with). Then there are like 8 push ones at the top of the grill area where the latch is. You have to use a screwdriver to remove the plastic shroud that holds the emblem and it has some clips and pushtabs on it to remove it and the 2 air ducts that lead to the ram air part.

sounds harder than it looks. it takes probably 20 minutes of working on all the stuff to have it fully off and the parts removed.

I used blue painter's tape around the grill and some leftover newspapers, very fine grit paper to scuff it up a tiny bit, also used a coat of primer to be on the safe side. I caked on the semi-gloss to about 4 full thick ass coats. Good thing I put so much on, as I commute to work on the freeway i have yet to chip any of it off, just have some dent ins/pits in the black painted grill from freeway debris, but it hasn't chiped through to see the silver at all because it's so thick (to answer madvillian's question of any chipping)

overall, like 2 hours of work: 1 hour of removal/puting back together at the end. An hour of primer, dry, paint dry, paint dry, paint dry, paint dry. I did it in the hot sun that day so it would go much faster.

sweet, thanks man! the reason i ask is because i have an autoexe grille on the way and a spoiler lip extension, cant wait! what brand of paint/primer did you use?

Yeah the bumper really is extremely easy to take off and put back on. Ive had to do it a couple times now and it amazes me how easy it is. And UHATE IT I love your car! Looks awesome!!!

for the record, no, you do not have to take the bumper off to do this. I did mine and was telling UHATEIT about it through pm's, and finally he went and did it for himself, lol. But yeah, it took literally no time all. Just taped it up, put newspaper all over the the bumper and engine bay so there was no overspray, then did some fine grit sanding, hit it with 2 coats of semi gloss black, and walaa. no clear coat was needed. Did this back in June and still not a single scratch or any fading.

just the cheap $2 can at home depot while i was there, i dont think it was even automotive, just home depot brand semi-gloss black worked. no clear coat needed either

True you can leave the bumper on, I already had it off at the time anyways. There are SO MANY things to tape off tho if you do it on the car, it's easy to just take the bumper off I was going to do the batman M like you did but saw this thread about how it looked up close (the bottom portion that curves) and was affraid to look jagged and raised in the middle portion. Yours looks by far the best that I have seen in regards to batman M!

thank you sir!! I know what you mean and that will be taken care of soon, it kinda bothers me too, but will be changed. I am going with the badge-less grill and gonna paint it the same black and put it on. My brother is a pro with the dremel. Then I am going to paint my rear Batman M black to match. Yours looks killer though!
