I'm working at Lime Rock Park on August 19th. I wouldn't be able to show up until mid to late afternoon which would suck since I would miss that awesome convoy on the way there.

I went to edit the post last night but perhaps, I deleted it by mistake. Opps.

As some of you may already know, we have both a new CEO and a new, CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) who are "cleaning house." Out of 30 employees, 7 or fewer still are employed with LRP. Our Operations Manager and Public Relations Manager (My Boss) quit (or may have gotten fired) earlier in the week. I've been getting emails lately from the CEO asking to schedule a meeting (interview for my own job!) because she "doesn't understand what I do for LRP" which really ticks me off. I explained my duties to her back in May when she cornered me but apparently, she still doesn't understand. Perhaps my head was next on the chopping block but I'm not going to stick around to find out so I have quit. Time to move up and on...

sorry mel, but we kinda new this was coming sooner or later...you had expressed how unhappy you were there...it's too bad! what are you going to do now?

My position as "Event Registrar" at Lime Rock Park was only a seasonal potition so I cannot collect unemployment. I don't even think that it would constitute as a part-time positition since my hours varied from race weekends -- a miniscule 7hrs for SCCA weekends to 15 - 20 for major events such as ALMS.

I have another job as Supervisor for the City of Torrington's Youth Program so I'll be just fine! I plan on visiting Lime Rock every now and then for some good racing and to visit my friends.
