any benefits to grounding the throttle body to negative?

i heard chat that the TB was isolated from grnd by the rubber bits. some say, attaching a ground to the negative terminal improves idle, and throttle response. is this just snake oil?

Snake oil for the MS3. It has an aluminum intake manifold and the TB is bolted straight to it.

The whole block is a ground. Bolts hold the TB to the block.
