Annoying rubbing noise

I just started getting a VERY slight rubbing noise that is really annoying me. Most people probably don't hear it, but I'm hyper sensitive to cabin noises. It sounds like two pieces lined with felt, rubbing together. The noise sounds like it's deep in the dashboard, or even the whole dashboard itself. Has anyone heard this, and if so, do you know where it's coming from? Maybe I can adjust or tighten something to improve it. Thanks!

I don't know about noise inside the dash, but two common sources of noises found in CX9
1) passenger side seat belt buckle rubbing against B-pillar
2) cup holder lid and/or center console lid

My driver's door interior trim panel squeaks against the clear coat on the inside of the door near the latch while driving down the road. Very annoying, easy fix, just can't remember to fix it on any Saturday. I don't think anyone has posted any issues with the dash. I know that the trim squeaks when you press against it with your right leg (driver), but thats about it. Is your CX-9 still under warranty? if so just take it in.

I am out of warranty, but I don't even want them messing with it. They will create new noises more than likely. this noise I'm asking about is VERY VERY subtle. It sounds deep into the dash, or firewall, and the car has to be completely quiet. like I said, It sounds like felt rubbing together. I already have all the other common ones. To fix the seat belt one, I just drape the seatbelt onto the seat bolster when not in use, this way it is far from the pillar. The center console, just annoys me, but it's intermittant so I haven't had the guts to start ripping everything apart to insulate it. I also got the drivers side door panel itching against the body. I just folded a piece of cardboard, and shoved it between the panel and the door right at the top of the panel. I also had an itch noise in my ear, coming from the seatbelt adjustment slider, I use some dry lubricant on those parts, and it seems to temporarily stop it. As you can tell, I'm very anal about noises..........I should just own all Lexus cars! lol I'm sure those can have issues too, but so far mine is quiet as a drum! (keeping fingers crossed)
