ok so ive had my 2007 sport since june (i think lol) and so far nooo issues whatsoever, until now, im getting a small tinny squeak/rattle noise from driver side rear (R.H.D), now upon inspecting through the wheel nothing seems out of place, so i banged palm of my hand hard on the tyre wall and i seem to be getting the similar noise ive been hearing, its either coming from the heat sheild situated just behind the wheel or its coming from the wheel/drum, now im going to hunt through the documents given to me by the dealer because im sure the previous owner had a recall for the bearings altho im not 100% sure off top of my head, apart from the sheild, drum or wheel, could it be anything else? i have a small niggle it could be suspension although again i just don't know, any help from any of you M2 owners would be much appreciated!!!

I assume you don't have aftermarket wheels with spacers? I had some on my other Mazda and after a year, one of them began making a rattle. I thought it was my suspension but after beating on the sidewall and hearing a similar noise, I removed the spacers. Once I removed the lug nuts I could tell 2 wheels made noise with the spacers. Just a guess...

My M2 has a slight vibration noise in the dash but only on certain road surfaces and in certain speed ranges. Yes, only 3 months old but until the noise becomes more obvious I'm not willing to spend time at the dealer on something they may not be able to reproduce.

"they may not be able to reproduce"

True. Car dealers shouldn't be allowed to reproduce. It just screws up the gene pool.................
