If your sub is a 8W3V2-D2 then it is a dual 2 Ohm voice coil, it cn be wired to 4 Ohm in series and the easiest way is go in the JL website and look at the tutorials at all the diagrams are there so nice and i would a jl audio 250/1 amp for the sub and bam is awesome sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and wait to get the good stuff, you wouldn't upgrade your turbo and have to use 87 octane cause you ran out of money.?!
sounddomain.com has wiring digrams for all different ohm setting and how many subs/amps.. i would think 16ga would be fine sence ur not running that many watts.
