Ambient Temperature Display

Upon completing the change of my cabin air filters in my 2007 3, I noticed the display for the ambient air temperature is now blank. Does anyone know how to test if the sensor is bad or had a similar experience when they changed the filters? I am fine with replacing the sensor but the coincidence with replacing the cabin air filters which required a bunch of wiring to be disconnected and reconnected has me wondering if I have a bad connection. So before I shell out the cash for a new sensor, I would like more confidence that it is bad or at least eliminate the potential for a bad wiring connection.

I know this seems like it would be a pain in the a** but I would go back and check all the connections before shelling out the money for a new sensor. It could be that a connector wasn't fully connected and disconnected itself.

Try checking your fuses. When I wire tucked my engine, a fuse went out and my front o2 sensor stopped working. Did you unplug the battery when you messed around with the wires?
