Am I the only one who hates the MSPEED'S seats?

Mazdaspeed 2003.5
I had serious buyer's remorse when I first got my Mazdaspeed because I find the seats very uncomfortable. Somehow my back just sinks back into it, and I find myself frequently adjusting the controls. After I bought some leather seat pads it got a little better.

Can anyone advise me on this one? I mean, I LOVE this car except for the damn seats! Driving to Vegas for me would be hell! And when I get into my 1989 Honda Civic, the seats fit me like a glove. This pisses me off because my Civic is worth about $1800 at best!

Does it cost a hell of a lot of money to get new seats? By the way, I'm a newbie, bought a yellow mica late in January. Thanks, guys, unbelievable forum!

i bought those ebay seats.

not the ones u liked to, but the ones that look like the corbeau A4s.

I havent ever owned any corbeaus or recaro or sparcos to compare them to but they seem decent to me - especially for the price

havent installed em yet cuz i cant bring myself to shell out a cple hundred on brackets

I actually find the MSP seats comfy. Might enjoy a little mroe support in theback on long drives or lateral support for when im carving but other than that they're nice

I hate the seats on my GF's P5, so I figured I'd hate the MSP seats as well. For some reason, they are just different enough that I don't mind the seats on the MSP a bit. Also, if you leave it alone for a few months it will probably start to conform to your body and seating position, which may make it a bit more comfortable for you.

I HATE THEM!, and the pedal placement, i have to adjust every day...it sucks..

plus i wear my shirt tucked in for work, and it pulls it out in the back .

I have the 2002 LX and it has nice seats.. very back friendly for me. But my previous car had horrible seating. I ended up going to AutoZone and sitting down in different styles of seat cushioning to find the one I liked the best. And it still didn't work when I got it into my car. Ended up returning it.

Nope, I'm not fat.

Misery does like company, though, so I am glad that I'm not the only one who hates them.

Yea I hate these stupid seats! I would trade my useless knob, pedals, and especially stereo for some real racing seats. Or at least something more sport inspired.

I have a couple of fiberglass racing seats I'm looking to get rid of if you want to buy them.

a good idea to remember when buying a car - test drive the ******* thing and make sure you like it. or just buy new seats, that works too. But like a car, you might want to acctualy sit in the seats before you buy them so you don't get them and complain you don't like them either.

I had dealer install black kat skinz with yellow stitch. Looks are awesome and way more comfort than the fac material. Just my 2 cents.

i think they are comfortable.....i need suuport though....racing seats in a couple months hopefully

I don't mind the seats, they aren't the most comfortable which is why I"m getting differnt ones later on. the only thing i dislike about them is that they are black with a wierd material and when it's almost 100 out, I sweat my ass off, probably cause I don't use the ac. I like to drive with the windows down.:)

I am sorry to say that they don't seem quite as comfortable as those in the Protege5.

Because I am tall, the dual adjustability of the seat cushion height played a MAJOR role in my purchase decision.

Im not sore from driving at all, but it would be nice to not have to hold myself in while Im trying to enjoy the handling on a windy hill.

i think the seats are ok on a day to day basis, like good to work or what not. but i go home often on the weekends and a 3.5 hour drive makes my back hurt. as for performance, the seats hardly hold you anywhere, i wish they had more side supports. owell, not bad though
